Our four-day visit to San Francisco provided everything we could have wished for: the company of good friends, glorious weather, meals at excellent restaurants (including Rue Lepic), a stroll through the Presidio to see the newly-opened George Lucas Letterman Digital Arts Center, a night ride on a cable car, drinks at the Top of the Mark with its lovely view of the city, a visit to the recently re-opened de Young Museum, brunch by the sea, lunch at Guaymas in Tiberon overlooking the harbor with the San Francisco skyline in the background (see photo), driving tours of different areas of the city (we will definitely explore the intriguingly funky Haight Street on our next visit) and grandparent fixes in the form of visits with Robbie and Lincoln, Myra and John's engaging grandsons. Thanks to Myra and John for being such wonderful hosts!
